Optical Microscopy

Omni Environmental’s Optical Microscopy Laboratory provides identification, optical characterization and quantification of Asbestos, Non-Asbestos Respirable fibers and Non-Fibrous Components of insulation and building materials, raw materials and manufactured products, dust, soil and various other sample matrices.  Our expertise is backed by knowledge of fundamental crystallography and optical mineralogy as it applies to asbestos analysis.

Our Asbestos Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) laboratory is licensed by the Texas Department of Health (30-0087) and accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP #102061)) for satisfactory compliance with criteria set forth in ISO/IEC 17025:1999 and relevant requirements of ISO 9002:1994.

With a combined management experience of over 35 years in asbestos analysis as well as our state-of-the art proprietary computerized Asbestos Laboratory Data Manager we can provide the fastest available turnaround time on projects of any size backed up by one of the industry's most rigorous quality assurance programs.
